The Crossing.A private year, walked on your own terrain.
Twelve months of private guidance for the founder carrying a question the business can’t answer. Five places a year.
What the year moves you from, and toward.

The shape of the year.
The year walks the full Holocene cycle: out of Resistance, through Curiosity, into Creativity. It opens with a map, goes underneath before it comes back up, and crosses its highest ground at the midpoint, five days in the field.
Standing On It
Months 11–12 · Creative Awe → Transformation
From the Surprise to the Beacon: you’re seen, and the next question forms.
- Month 00
The Map
Where you stand on the cycle
Evolution Mapping · half a day, in person
We place you on the Holocene cycle. Many people arrive in Resistance, where life looks right and feels borrowed, or at the Threshold, knowing what they want and unable to start. We name what the year is for and draw the route.
- Months 01–03
The Real Question
Resistance → Wonder
Two private sessions a month · daily reflection begins
We stop asking what you should do, which only ever returns the safe answer, and start asking what you actually want to know. One live question, carried into everything.
- Months 04–06
Underneath
Wonder → Awe
Twice-monthly sessions · access between them
Six levels, described below. The story and identity that built your success get looked at honestly, and the ground starts to move.
- Month 06
The Immersion
Awe → Clarity, in the field
A five-day journey, solo or guided
The midpoint and the highest ground of the year. The framework walked outward, in a place chosen for the question you’re carrying, until the one true sentence about what comes next can be written.
- Months 07–10
The Build
Inspiration → the Threshold → Creative Wonder
Twice-monthly sessions · daily practice
First real moves, taken while the spark is still hot. We meet the Threshold head-on, the wall between knowing and starting, and you begin making the thing.
- Months 11–12
Standing On It
Creative Awe → Transformation
Sessions · closing workshop
What you’ve made gets its first witnesses. We name who you’ve become and the next question forming, so the change holds after we stop meeting.
The Immersion.Five days at the midpoint.
Month 06 is a journey: five days of travel designed around what you’re working on, in a place chosen for it. Take it on your own, on a route I design, or with me as your guide. Cultural, not wilderness. More on The Immersion
- Day I
The Arrival
You land, and slow down. A long, unhurried dinner somewhere local. Nothing to perform.
- Day II
The Ground
Into the place itself, and into the work. We name what you carried onto the plane.
- Day III
The Quiet Day
A day alone. No phone, no company, nowhere to be. Not a challenge. An absence of noise long enough to hear what’s already true.
- Day IV
The Telling
The quiet day, put into words. Written down, or said out loud over a long meal, without commentary or repair.
- Day V
The Long Way Home
The first real move, named out loud, and a trip home taken slowly enough to keep it.
Underneath:six levels, outside in.
Months 04 to 06 go down before they come back up. We work through six levels, from the outside in: what you built, what surrounds it, and what’s been driving it.
- i.
The Thing You Built
- We look at
- What your success gave you, and what it quietly cost.
- What shifts
- You can see the achievement clearly, without having to defend it.
- ii.
The Noise
- We look at
- Everything with a claim on your attention, and how little of it is yours.
- What shifts
- Room to hear yourself again. The fog starts to lift.
- iii.
The Story
- We look at
- The narrative that has been making your decisions for you.
- What shifts
- You can tell which parts are still true, and which you’ve outgrown.
- iv.
The Identity
- We look at
- Who you had to become to get here, and who that left out.
- What shifts
- The sentence that names who you’re becoming.
- v.
The Question
- We look at
- The question underneath the one you walked in with.
- What shifts
- It becomes specific enough to answer.
- vi.
Aliveness
- We look at
- The reason you started, or the one that’s replacing it.
- What shifts
- Energy for the build, pointed somewhere real.
